Changes to YouTube’s Terms of Service

You're receiving this email because we're updating the YouTube Terms of Service ("Terms") to clarify our terms and provide transparency to our users. The Terms were similarly updated in the United States in November 2020. These changes shouldn't significantly alter your access or use of the YouTube service.   A summary of the changes: Facial recognition restrictions: The Terms of Service already state that you cannot collect any information that might identify a person without their permission. While this has always included facial recognition information, the new Terms make that explicitly clear. YouTube's right to monetize: YouTube has the right to monetize all content on the platform and ads may appear on videos from channels not in the YouTube Partner Program. Royalty payments and tax withholding: For creators entitled to revenue payments, such payments will be treated as royalties from a U.S. tax perspective and Google will withhold taxes where required by law.   Please make sure you read the updates to the Terms carefully. The new Terms will take effect on June 1, 2021 for users outside the U.S. By continuing to use YouTube after this date, you are agreeing to the new Terms. Important Information about your Reverb Account

Dear Reverber, We take our users' privacy and security very seriously. Out of an abundance of caution, we wanted to inform you that Reverb recently became aware of an issue relating to user contact information. At this time, we believe that contact information, including name, address, phone number, and email, was publicly accessible for a short period of time. We do not have reason to believe that any of this information has been misused, nor do we believe that password or payment information were involved. As soon as we learned of this issue, we immediately worked to resolve it. We conducted an investigation of the situation to determine what happened and are taking steps to prevent something like this from happening again. As a general reminder, we recommend that you change your Reverb password on a regular basis. If you'd like to update your password you can do so easily from your Account Settings page. Upcoming changes to FeedBurner

Hi gigi, FeedBurner has been a part of Google for almost 14 years, and we're making several upcoming changes to support the product's next chapter. Here's what you can expect to change and what you can do now to ensure you're prepared. Starting in July, we are transitioning FeedBurner onto a more stable, modern infrastructure. This will keep the product up and running for all users, but it also means that we will be turning down most non-core feed management features, including email subscriptions, at that time. For those who use FeedBurner email subscriptions, we recommend downloading your email subscribers so that you can migrate to a new email subscription service. For many users, no action is required. All existing feeds will continue to serve uninterrupted, and you can continue to create new accounts and burn new feeds. Core feed management functionality will continue to be supported, such as the ability to change the URL, source feed, title, and podcast metadata of your feed, along with basic analytics. Reminder: Choose how your information is used and shared for Gmail, Google Chat, and Google Meet before January 25th, 2021

New Gmail, Google Chat, and Google Meet settings provide you more control over your information

	Dear gigi,     You received an email two weeks back to let you know that we are launching two new settings for Gmail, Chat, and Meet to give you more control over your information and help support compliance requirements. With these settings you can choose how your information is used in Gmail, Chat, and Meet and in other products across Google.     If you have already made a choice, please disregard this email.     What do I need to know?     Smart features and personalization in Gmail, Chat and Meet is the first setting, and controls whether your Gmail, Chat, and Meet data can be used to offer smart features within each of these services. Smart features in Gmail, Chat, and Meet that depend on your data include:     •   Automatic email filtering/categorization (Primary/Social/Promotions)     •   Smart Compose and Smart Reply in email     •   Summary cards above your email (Package tracking, travel, and more)     •   Extracting event details to create calendar entries     Smart features and personalization in other Google products is the second setting, and controls whether your Gmail, Chat, and Meet data can be shared with other Google products to enable personalization features. Features in other Google products that depend on Gmail, Chat, and Meet data include:     •   Assistant reminders of your bills due     •   Maps displaying restaurant reservations     •   Travel bundling your itineraries     •   Google Pay showing loyalty cards     What do I need to do?     If you want to continue using the above features and more after January 25th, 2021, you need to choose in Gmail settings to keep these features on. If you have already made your choices for these settings on either your mobile Gmail app or desktop, no further action is needed. You can change these options in Gmail settings at any time.
